Compare your kitchen quotes

Flat Interiors · Mumbai home planning

Use this worksheet alongside each designer's measured cabinet schedule. Write “not specified” where a proposal is silent; do not assume it is included. Ask each provider to price the same agreed scope before comparing the totals.

Property / room: ____________________ Comparison date: ____________________

Proposal A — provider, reference, date: ______________________________________

Proposal B — provider, reference, date: ______________________________________

1. Check what each total buys

Sink and tap: supply, fitting and connections
Backsplash: material, area and installation
Appliances: supplied by whom; installation responsibility
Removal of old units and debris disposal
Wall / floor preparation and making good
Plumbing and electrical changes
Delivery, installation and final adjustments
Taxes, transport or other stated charges
Explicit exclusions and provisional allowances
Payment stages and what completes each stage
Site dependencies and agreed delivery sequence
Written warranty terms, exclusions and service contact
How variations are approved and priced

2. Keep a cabinet-by-cabinet schedule

Repeat this row for each unit. Include a drawing reference so that both proposals describe the same layout. Ask what the measurement unit includes if either quote uses running feet or square feet.

3. Compare the complete scope

Amount recorded from providerAB
Quoted total
Required excluded work, priced separately
Applicable charges not included in quoted total
Agreed optional upgrades you selected
Total after reconciling the above

Avoid counting a charge twice. If an essential item is unpriced, mark the comparison incomplete rather than treating the missing amount as zero. Compare written specifications, responsibilities and service terms alongside the price.

4. Questions to send before deciding

- Can you mark every excluded item and provisional allowance?

- Does this schedule match the latest measured layout and appliance dimensions?

- Which optional accessories can we remove without changing the essential storage plan?

- Who coordinates the worktop, sink, electrical and plumbing installation?

- What happens if site conditions or our choices change after approval?
